Daft Punk – Random Access Memory
In an era where EDM concerts are drawing Woodstock-like crowds, Daft Punk is the one act I respect far and beyond the others because they actually play instruments live and on record. This album, especially when considering mega hit “Get Lucky,” is a borderline rebirth fof disco. My knock on EDM artists is that it’s a craft that can be honed without bona fide musical knowledge. I hesitate to group many DJs as musicians, but Daft Punk is one group I will eternally respect.
