Local rapper Rey Resurreccion has no shortage of killer albums. He is as prolific as his flow is smooth. One of his strongest, Back in the Day Vol. 1, is in fact an EP. If your loved one listens to even the occasional rap song, get them this CD. The reason, in short—the Bangerz. Their production work here is top notch. The concept behind it is, as the name implies, old-school hip-hop. It has that retro vibe, no doubt, with plenty of punchy boom-bap beats and infectious synthesizer loops. But retro or not, these are some catchy loops.
