While some critics have accused Postey of being an unabashed culture vulture, the man responsible for “White Iverson,” “Congratulations” and “Rockstar” has continued to rack up hits—and it’s not hard to understand why. Dude clearly has an ear for what’s trending in rap. His debut album, Beerbongs & Bentleys, is a beautiful bummer, full of warbling, autotuned melodies, codeine-drenched beats and lyrics so dark they make Abel Tesfaye sound like a life coach.
