Known for his Infectious energy, down-to-earth humor and muscles to rival Kumail Nanjiani, comedian Preacher Lawson was a fan favorite on season 12 of America’s Got Talent, and then a Grand Finalist in America’s Got Talent: The Champions. Though he never quite won the televised contests, he did win over a lot of fans with his inspiring story, perseverance and one-liners like: “I don’t have a thing for white women, I just live next to Trader’s Joe’s.” The vegan comic makes the Improv his home for the weekend. Preacher Lawson is not at a loss for material. His family had already moved 20 times before he turned 10. He eventually landed in Orlando, where he channeled his active sense of humor and infectious energy into standup comedy. Lawson caught a big break on the 12th season of America’s Got Talent. Since then, he’s had no trouble with selling out—literally and figuratively. The show has given him a national following, which he has used to pay his mother back for the car he crashed and bring his two brothers out to L.A. to enjoy the good life.
