What were you doing this weekend? Hopefully you weren’t at Chris Brown’s Capricorn Bash at The Fiesta Nightclub. Shots rang out inside the Southside dance hall early Sunday morning while the controversy-saddled R&B singer and rapper was performing his song “Loyal.” Five people were shot in the melee, but none were killed, according to news reports.

Brown was not injured in the shooting. However, his reaction to the gunfire was captured on the video-sharing app, Vine. Longer videos have been posted on various sites across the web the terror and mayhem that unfolded inside the club after the event.

The event was originally scheduled to be held at the recently opened RockBar Theater, located at the former site of the Garden City Casino, but was moved at the last minute to The Fiesta Nightclub. It is unclear at this time exactly why the party was moved.

It’s been 25 years since Too Short’s first LP was released and the Oakland rapper is still showing no signs of slowing. He released his 19th studio album this year, and just last week, he released two albums with E-40—the only other living Bay Area rapper to reach his level of national fame.

Too Short plays at La Fiesta Nightclub tomorrow. Here are a few video highlights from his catalog over the years:

Too $hort plays Fiesta Nightclub on Friday November 9th, along with Mr. Kee, Chraze-C, Reign, Why Hate, YB Ent, YDMC, Big Mister, Big E, Elite, Jeff Turner, Malicious Da Misfit and Natty K. Dirtbag Dan hosts the event. The show starts at 8pm. Tickets are $25 in advance and $30 at the door.

Tyga, the Compton rapper and youngest signee to Lil Wayne’s Young Money crew, will make an appearance in San Jose this Saturday at Fiesta Nightclub.

Scheduled to perform in Santa Cruz earlier that night, it’s unclear which variant of “Rack City,” Tyga’s strip-club ballad, the San Jose crowd will be treated to—the dubbed out karaoke in which Tyga mumbles the chorus as the crowd auditions for him, or will he do his best to transform the remote suburban venue from club to cabaret? You’ll have to see for yourself.
