HIGH FLYING: The Zoppe Italian Family Circus returns to Redwood City for the 10th year in a row.

The Zoppe Italian Family Circus is returning to Redwood City for the 10th year in a row. Alberto Zoppe—great grandson of the traveling tent show’s founder, Napoline Zoppe—performed with the Ringling Bros. in 1948. His stunts included a signature backflip from one horse to another. This trick understandably drove crowds wild. Now Alberto’s daughter, Tosca Zoppe, will continue the tradition, performing many of the bareback tricks her father was known for. In addition to these equestrian feats, the circus will feature astonishing acrobatics and of course, clowns. The circus runs through Oct. 29.
